Busy week of fun and new bed

Alex had a good time driving in his Handy Many truck. He stopped at the frig and took out the Bacon bits.
To get ready for Alex's big boy bed we bought a gate. Alex thought it was for tying up his feet.
Alex does not understand the word "no". He will drag a chair or steps anywhere in the house to get what he wants. Like Mommy's pop.
While Mommy was in the shower Thursday,(the first time this week that Emma and Alex did not fight the whole time) Alex took out every DVD from its box and put them in a pile and there pamphlets in a different pile. Then lined up the boxes and crawled in the empty shelf.
Saturday Grandma pretended to be the doctor for the patients after the ladies came home from a baby shower. Alex helped Daddy take his room and crib apart so they could put his new bed up.

Alex is taking a nice nap Sunday afternoon.

Emma being a cool chic.

After nap time we went outside to play. Emma tried to make an igloo with ice cubes and snow. Mommy said maybe the snow was too dry. Mommy made everyone come in when her toes became frozen. So while Alex painted and Emma wrote down the ingredients to home made hot cocoa, Mommy made some for the first time. It was a hit.

Alex usually puts in marshmellows and eats them without drinking any hot chocolate. But this time after he smelled it he wanted no marshmellows because he said he wanted to drink it.

Emma put one marshmellow in and watched it melt. She was excited about her hot cocoa "beard".
We are excited about Alex going potty since Wednesday, he has been wet only twice. He is excited about wearing pull-ups. Emma has been amazing us with her knowledge. She was talking about planets and stars, chewing your soft food with your front teeth and your hard food with your back molers. Emma seems to learn equally the same amount of stuff from daycare, preschool or Sid the Science Kid.
We love spending our Sundays(we call them family days) at home, just the four of us. Emma and Alex have been playing well together lately and even wrestled Sunday evening.

We like your new bed, Alex! Colten is looking for one as well. But as you can imagine, we don't always see eye-to-eye on the style of bed we should get. We'll see how it turns out in the end!
