Emma's life as a five year old

After Emma's Birthday party Alex was watching a show as usual before bed. Instead of finishing the show, reading books and then playing in his crib for awhile, Alex crawled onto Daddy and immediately started snoring.
Meanwhile, Emma stayed up late playing with her new Barbie's. She was a very happy girl.

We finally had time on Thursday to take Emma on her annual Birthday trip to Chucky Cheese. Only a few games were played Emma and Alex mostly rode the rides.

Of course Alex only wanted to ride Bob the whole time. We did not stay long due to the snowy, cold weather and our big trip the next morning.
Friday morning the kids and Mommy drove to Hutchinson, Mn to visit Lisa and family. Yes, Emma skipped preschool. Emma thought we were actually going to Germany. Luckily she did not seem disappointed. We made record time of 3 hours and 50 minutes and only 2potty breaks, even though the first hour was somewhat slippery and very windy. There were alot of cars in the ditch so Mommy almost turned around.
Alex, Katharina, and Colton at their grandparents house.

Colton and Alex shared toys very well. Colton loved Alex's Handy Manny motorcyle and Alex loved the football helmet. Alex has been saying he is a football player. So he wants to wear a helmet. Since he does not have one he has been carrying around minature helmets or the helmet christmas ornament.
Katharina and Emma played games together. Yes, we had mickey ears. We brought Emma's birthday party with us.
Emma was so excited Mommy did not think she would be able to fall asleep. Friday night was Emma's first real sleepover(with a friend). Emma slept in the same room as Katharina and Colton.

Sunday morning Mommy heard alot of noise coming from Alex's room. He decided to take everything off of his book/toy shelf. He then went to the back room to get the pretend snow and some village pieces to add to his fun.

After lunch we all had some of the christmas chocolates from Caris and her family from Germany. Mommy loves chocolate from Germany.
Emma was busy this week completing a sticker book, playing with her new Barbie's, and games. She is practicing counting to 100 and held the GPS on our trip and told Mommy where to drive. Alex decided to start calling himself Baby Bucky or Little Daddy. He came up with this all on his own.

Hi Guys! We had a great time with you this weekend! Too bad we don't live closer together. Looks like you had a fun Sunday at home. No relaxing in your house!
