A very exciting Wednesday

We started out the day going to Farm & Fleet to find farm animals for Alex's birthday cake for next week. Instead we bought a combine, digger, hay wagon, lawn mower and others. We had to call Uncle Brad to go to Fleet Farm in Winona to get animals. Luckily for everyone Brad found some. We also finally found a lefty mitt for Alex. He is doing a good job throwing his ball around the living room. Alex told Mommy after his bath that he wants Brad to play catch with him in Prairie. Really, he said all that himself.
Emma has been every excited about Mommy's book collection from when she was a little girl. We have been taking out three books a night.
Daddy is in the background because he had to stay home sick today. He is up because Mommy made him drink and eat.
Then Mommy and the kids went to Erickson pool for the first time this summer.
Emma likes to put a thick layer of sunscreen on. After two hours of holding onto two children who have had no swimming lessons and one with no fear, Mommy was exhausted. Seriously, the boy just keeps walking, and walking, and walking. You would think he would stop when the water is up to his chin, no. Emma was falling asleep eating at 4:50. Eyes closed but kept putting the food in. Both were in bed by 6:30 and Mommy was asleep on the couch.

Mommy could not resist buying this rug earlier in the week. Alex likes playing baseball on it. Alex vomited on the other one.
