A Day of Play

Emma and Alex started the morning at the hospital visiting their babysitters brother and leaving some food for the family. Then they were off to the playroom on Mommy's unit. Alex is wearing his Mickey Mouse sweatshirt from Mitchell. Alex asks for it everyday.
After nap time it was time for more play. Alex and Mommy built tracks for Thomas and his friends. While listening to Alex's Mickey Mouse tape on the stereo. See a theme starting.

Meanwhile, Emma was in her room playing with the new Dora Castle. Yes, Mommy bought it, even though I complain about having too many toys in the house I could not resist. We were at Once apon a Child before lunch and I thought it was the coolest thing.

There are tons and tons of pieces. So the kids and Mommy made a village. Dora's grocery store, Diego's treehouse, the doll house and the Dora castle. The kids were played out and asleep by eight.

Mommy felt it was a good day. Lessons learned. Pick up your toys and listen. And, do good for others equals happy and proud Mommy equals a new toy, getting to skip nap time, and lots of one-on-one play time.
