One week until Christmas

After playing outside Emma, Alex and Mommy enjoy opening Christmas cards. Thank you to all who have sent cards and pictures it is a big part of our afternoons. This morning Emma wrapped some presents for Daddy all by herself then helped Mommy bake. She is a great tart shaper. Many times throughout the day Alex(in his words) has Emma put music(20 different Christmas CD's) on in the back room and dance in Mommy's arms next to the lit Christmas tree. They are loving the Christmas season.
After dinner(Mommy ordered online from Pizza Hut for the first time) we went to the Rotary Lights.
Santa's BIG sleigh. There are real reindeer and Santa. We did not take the kids to see Santa since they have already seen him twice. Mommy did not want Emma asking any more questions.
Then there was the big one!

Since this summer when Katharina showed Emma cut outs at the zoo, she loves them and has to check out each one and each hole. My little penguins.

Emma loved the lights. We brought a stroller for her too thinking she would get tired with her snow pants on and we stopped afternoon naps today. Since Emma lays in bed until 10-1030 every evening we thought maybe she did not need a nap. But Emma must have been too excited, she walked all the way through the park.

Both fell asleep as soon as we started driving home at 6:15. But woke when we got home and were reenergized until 8:30.

Alex can now climb onto the kitchen chairs and reach into the drawers in the kitchen. Mommy is betting tomorrow Alex will try to climb onto the kitchen table. Emma is busy yelling at Alex for taking Chritmas ornaments down and touching HER Christmas CD's. Alex said his name many times today. It sounds like "Ala". Emma is upset because Alex likes to say her name over and over and over. Also that she is turning four. Emma says she wants to be three and a half instead. This is because at three and a half she can be a baby sometimes and have Mommy help her instead of doing things herself. Which she thinks will change as soon as she turns four because then she will be a big girl. Emma is a thinker.
